Introduction
The IELTS is an important test for students wishing to continue their further studies in England, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Holland and several other countries. It is a paper-based test that measures your ability in four key areas of the language -Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
The IELTS is conducted on several pre-scheduled dates around the year. So it is important to plan well in advance so that you get the date that you want. The British Council at Lainchaur administers the test in Nepal.
The IELTS Listening is quite different from other language proficiency exams in that it is conducted on audiotape with paper-based materials and the people speaking on the audiotape have British or Australian accents.
A score of 6.0 will most likely get you admission into most schools in the above-mentioned countries.
